Born Glebe Point, Sydney in 1923. Served with the WAAAF in the Second World War. Freelance writer and book reviewer for such journals and newspapers as the Bulletin, Nation, the Sydney Morning Herald, the Age and the Australian. Her short stories were collected as An Affair of Clowns (1967).
