History
Rhoda Felgate born in London on 31 July 1901. The family migrated to Australia when she was 18 months old. They eventually settled in Brisbane in 1910. Rhoda was a founding member of Brisbane Repertory Theater Society. In 1936 she was a foundation member and first director of the Twelfth Night Theatre. She was a commissioner of the Australian Broadcasting Commission (1960-1972), member of the Library Board of Queensland (1961-1975), member of the Lyceum Club in Brisbane, and was awarded an honorary MA from the University of Queensland in 1983.
