Biographical history

George Blaikie was born in Sydney, educated at Sydney Grammar School and Melbourne University, and became a journalist in 1931. In 1946 he joined the staff of 'Smith's Weekly' and spent four years as the head of its reporting staff. He published five books and died in 1995.
