Biographical history
Thomas Keneally AO, an award-winning author of fiction and non-fiction, was born in Sydney in 1935. He initially trained to become a Catholic priest before moving into a teaching career. His most famous novel, Schindler's Ark was published in 1982 and became the first Australian novel to win the Booker Prize.
