Biographical history

Hilma Dymphna Lodewyckx was born on 18 December 1916 at Melbourne, Victoria. She mastered over eight languages and became a successful linguist. She married Manning Clark in 1939. The couple had six children. She was an activist for rights of Australian aboriginals. Hilma Dymphna Clark died on 12 May 2000.
