Biographical history

James Hutt was a librarian at the Bodleian Library, Oxford; Chief Librarian at the Liverpool Library (Lyceum); and Librarian and Curator of the Public Libraries and Museums at Portsmouth In 1935 he retired and moved to Brisbane He was appointed to the Library at the University of Queensland until his death in May 1937.
