Australian Country Party - Queensland (1944-1974). Known as the Country Party Previously the Country National Party Became the National Party of Australia, Queensland.
Objectives - To fear God and honour the Queen; to help defend the British Commonwealth; to maintain democracy, liberty and individual enterprise; to increase the well-being of the whole people; to promote the greatest possible development of primary and secondary industries.

Notes: The Country Party of Queensland was founded in 1920 In 1924/25 it amalgamated with the National Party to form the Country and Progressive National Party. In 1936 this was replaced by the Queensland Country Party. In 1941 the Queensland Country Party merged with the United Australia Party to form the Country National Party.
