Nancy Holmes Tarn (née Gore) retrieved the album from beneath the Spowers family home 'Tivoli' at Corinda, Brisbane. The album may have belonged to Nancy's parents, Amy Gladys (née Spowers) and Cyril Gerard Gore (of Yandilla). In 1911 they were married in Brisbane and moved to Assam, India, where Cyril and his brother were tea planters. Historical notes on the Tarn/Spowers family are enclosed with the album.
