Biographical history

William James Tunley was a business and religious figure. Born in Wolverhampton, England. Came to Australia as a child. Co-founder of the Queensland Evangelisation society. He wrote thousands of gospel booklets and composed gospel music. Married Ellen Catherine Gillies on 23 June 1897. WJ Tunley died 20 November 1948.

Biographical history

George Sampson was born in 1861 in Bristol, England. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists In 1897, he took a post as the organist and choirmaster of St John's Cathedral, Brisbane and began a long musical life in Brisbane. He was also a Conductor for the Brisbane Musical Union and the Sampson Orchestral Society.

Born 24 December 1866. She and her sister adopted by the Flint family. Poet. Died in 1932.
