Eric John Aarons was born on 16 March 1919. He was a member of of the Communist Party of Australia. He travelled to Cuba in 1965 as part of a delegation from the Communist Party of Australia: the Australian Party's first delegation to anywhere in the Americas. He died on 18 January 2019 in Sydney.
