History

Ted Crofts, son of Nick and Winifred Crofts of Nambour, earned the Diploma of Architecture at the Central Technical College in 1941. He then joined the Army and served in New Guinea as a Lieutenant until 1945. Afterwards he married Helen Story, with whom he later had three daughters, and completed the Diploma of Architecture at The University of Queensland. In 1947 Crofts entered private practice with Dean Prangley and Colin Tesch. He also lectured at Queensland Institute of Technology and was a skilful watercolourist who a young man had studied under Melville Haysom. He died in 2007.
