A personal history of an Aboriginal Australian tribe referred to as 'the Blucher tribe' located in the Darling Downs region. Includes an overview of their culture and customs. Two copies are typescripts bound by the Library. One is an original typescript with stiff paper wrappers and some handwritten annotations. One is a roneoed copy. The first of the two bound typescripts has an inscription on the title page near the hinge that reads '1.11.1934 345 1st copy typed in University Office'. The second of the two typescripts has an inscription on the title page near the hinge that reads '345 1.11.1934 duplic[ate] for FWR [Frederick Walter Robinson] 2/6'. The third original typescript copy in stiff paper wrappers, 41 leaves, has a bookplate pasted inside the front wrapper that states it 'belonged to Frederick Walter Robinson'. The fourth copy, 29 pages, looks to be a roneoed typescript that came from the Hayes collection.

The photographs are taken between 1896 and 1910 mostly by Mary Christison (née Godsell) and include views of Lammermoor Station; Lammermoor Homestead; Lammermoor musterers and staff; animals and livestock; Robert Christison; Reverend Alexander Christison, father of Robert Christison; Thomas McKnight Cameron Christison, brother of Robert Christison; Robert Gray and Charlotte Gray; Fanny Allingham; geologist Dr Robert Logan Jack and his wife Janet Love (née Simpson); Mary Sympson Christison (née Tovey); Bishop Stanton; and Mary Christison (née Godsell).

Also includes 23 photographs, mostly portraits, of individual members of the Dalleburra tribe, most dated around 1898. The individuals featured include: Barney (Ko-bro or Ko bro) and his wife Bessy; Kyra (Barney's son); Wyma; Mickey and his wife Mary; Tommy; Jacob; Topsy; Nelly; Billy, a stockman; Charley; Warmbunny; and Freddy, a stockman and Wyma's second husband.

On the title page, handwritten above the title 'The Jinibara tribe of South East Queensland (and its neighbours)' is 'Gaiarbau's story of '.

This draft carbon copy typescript recounts the story of Gaiarbau as told to Lindsay Winterbotham. In it Gaiarbau describes the form of tribal government, details of daily life, community, and relations with others outside of the community. This copy has many handwritten emendations written in blue pen; written in pencil at the top of most pages is 're-typed'. Handwritten emendations do not form part of the published version in Queensland Ethnohistory Transcripts 1:1 (1982). Illustrations consist of black and white photographs pasted onto light weight card and tipped/inserted in place.
