History

Campus Moratorium Committee (1970-1972). Also known as Campus Mobilization Committee and Campus Moratorium Mobilization Committee.
Objectives - To organize support for the Vietnam moratorium campaign at the University of Queensland.
Notes: A wide variety of groups and individuals participated in this Committee. At various times they included Revolutionary Socialist Students Alliance, New Left Group, Revitalization of Christianity Movement, Draft Resisters' Union, Labor Club, Liberal Club, faculty groups etc. There were four moratorium campaigns each focussing on a march. They were on Friday May 8th 1970, Friday September 18th 1970, Wednesday June 30th 1971 and April 21st 1972. The Committee tended to become inoperative between campaigns. A Revolutionary Moratorium Committee was also active from August 1970.
