History
Richard John Brockett was born on 19 September 1938 in Barnet, Hertfordshire, England, to Winnie Millicent Pocock and Philip James Brockett. He served in the Australian Army in the 1960s. Later, he attended the University of Queensland where he earned a Bachelor of Arts (1985), a Bachelor of Social Work (1987), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (1993) for his thesis titled Douglas social credit in Queensland 1929-1939. He died on 20 August 2000.
