Australian National Party (1958- ).
Objectives - To represent the people of Australia and uphold the rights of the individual; to oppose monopolistic practices, socialization and communism; to reduce taxes, wasteful government expenditure and hire purchase charges; to restore British immigration to 75% of the total; to deport migrants convicted of vicious crimes; to increase social services and restore full employment; to oppose salary rises for parliamentarians; to provide all possible opportunities for people to own land and businesses and to trade freely without unnecessary regulations; to restore primary production and settle all habitable land and to oppose the usurping of state government powers.
Pubicists - Noel Condie, J. Rickbusch. The party stood candidates in the 1958 Federal elections. Its policies were influenced by those of the Australian Democratic Union.
