Gallery was established in 1976 in Brookes Street, Bowen Hills, Queensland.

Objectives - To assist the Trades and Labour Council in the preparation of twentieth anniversary celebrations of the defeat of conscription in the October 28 1916 referendum by seeking the co-operation of individuals and organizations not affiliated with the Council.

Apartheid Protest Campaign (1969).
Objectives: To organise nation-wide protests against the visit of Mr Jan Haak, South African Minister for Economic Affairs. Mr Haak visited Sydney and several other cities as an official guest of the Australian Government between June 5 and 17, 1969.

An artist run community space which provides an affordable venue for emerging artists to exhibit, where they do not charge commission. The 200 square metre gallery space can be hired for art exhibitions and functions by artists and community groups.
