The third A.I.C.C. conference was held in Queensland, most likely in Mackay, in 1986. A.I.C.C. most likely stands for the Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress or perhaps an earlier version of the Aboriginal Co-Ordinating Council (ACC) based in Cairns.

The Aboriginal and Islander Community Health Service began in Brisbane in 1972, working out of premise in Red Hill and under the direction of an elected council of representatives from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations in Brisbane as well as members of the medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, audiology and social work professions. The formation of this medical centre was discussed at the Action Conference on Racism and Education held at the University of Queensland in January 1972. The name of the organisation was formally changed to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service (ATSICHS) in 2008.

The Murri School (also known as the Aboriginal and Islander Independent Community School) was first established in 1986.

The Association was set up as a result of the formation of the Aboriginal and Islanders Council.

Objectives - To assist Aboriginals and Islanders in coping with all aspects of life in and around Brisbane, to promote the well-being of Aboriginals and Islanders, to encourage the education of Aborigines and Islanders, to preserve the cultures of the indigenous inhabitants of Australia and of Torres Strait Islanders and to provide premises for the Council.

The Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement (ALRM) is a not-for-profit charity, Aboriginal community organisation and law practice based in Adelaide, South Australia. ALRM has both a criminal case section and civil section. The organisation receives funding under the National Legal Assistance Program. Additionally, ALRM organises social programs to assist Aboriginal people persons recently released from custody, and advocates on legal and policy questions that affect Aboriginal people.

The Aboriginal-Australian Fellowship functioned as a partnership between non-Aboriginal and Aboriginal people to campaigning for Indigenous rights. After their first public meeting in April 1957, a range of organisations became affiliates, including trade unions and the Union of Australian Women. AAF became affiliated with the Federal Council for the Advancement of Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders.

Formed in 1953?, deregistered as a company in 1995, revived in 1998 as the Aborigines Advancement League South Australia, changed it's name in 2001 to Aboriginal Advancement League South Australia.
