Objectives - To oppose the Vietnam war and conscription.

Notes: This committee was largely based on the University of Queensland Campus. It co-operated with Students for Democratic Action, especially in the holding of regular forums in Brisbane's Centenary Park. Includes material from other interstate branches.

Uranium Moratorium Committee Queensland (1977).
Objectives - To pressure the Australian Government to agree to a 5 year moratorium on the mining and export of uranium, to promote full public discussion of all the questions raised by the mining and export of uranium leading to a decision of all the Australian people and to develop a national policy which concentrates on energy conservation and the research and development of safer energy sources.

Notes: The Committee was part of a national organization made up of various union, environmental, peace, church and other community groups.
