History

The Aboriginal-Australian Fellowship functioned as a partnership between non-Aboriginal and Aboriginal people to campaigning for Indigenous rights. After their first public meeting in April 1957, a range of organisations became affiliates, including trade unions and the Union of Australian Women. AAF became affiliated with the Federal Council for the Advancement of Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders.
