History
Kaiadilt Elder Pat Gabor, also known as Kabararrjingathi Bulthuku Pat Gabori, was thought to be born in 1925. He was married to artist Sally Gabori (c. 1924-2015). He spent his early life on Bentinck Island. The Island was abandoned by locals in the 1940s following a series of natural disasters. Pat, along with other Bentinck Island inhabitants, was forced to reestablish a life at Gununa, on nearby Mornington Island. He contributed to the research conducted by Paul Memmott and the Aboriginal Environments Research Centre in various locations around the Gulf Country region during the 1970s. He died in 2009.
