History
John Bradley is a former Anthropology Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences at the University of Queensland. He is now an Associate Professor at Monash University, the Deputy Director of the Monash Indigenous Studies Centre and founder of the Monash Country Lines Archive. He holds a PhD in Anthropology from the Northern Territory University. For over four decades, Bradley has worked in the South West Gulf of Carpentaria. He is a speaker of Yanyuwa, Garrwa and Kriol Indigenous languages. Working with Yanyuwa elders, he has produced a two-volume Yanyuwa encyclopediac dictionary, an atlas of Yanyuwa country, and other publications.
