History
Reverend Robert Hugh Wilson was born in Ararat, Victoria, in 1882 (though some sources cite his birth year as 1884). He was a Home Missionary in the Presbyterian Church of Victoria who desired to do missionary work with Aboriginal communities. He was first sent to Aurukun in North Queensland (1908-1911), then to Western Australia, at Broome, Port George and Kunmunya. From 1919 to 1940 he was based at Mornington Island, Queensland. He resigned due to health issues. He was married to Frances Green. He died in 1960.

Maintenance notes
Please note there is a NLA authority record for a 'Wilson, Robert H.' (AU NLA 58773902) in Trove but it seems to conflate two or more different Robert H. Wilsons - one is an American author - therefore it has not been used here for the authority record identifier, Kymberley Doyle, 23-Jun-2025.
