History

Warlpiri artist thought to be born in 1908 (though at least one source cites his birth year as 1912). Contributed to the research conducted by Paul Memmott and the Aboriginal Environments Research Centre in various locations around the Gulf Country region during the 1970s. One of a group of senior men who initiated the painting movement in Yuendumu in the mid 1980s. Thought to have died in 1989 (though at least one source cites a death year as 1990).
