History
Ian James, thought to be born in 1934, was a songman belonging to the Lardil people of Mornington Island. His wife was Evelyn James (née Peter). He contributed to the research conducted by Paul Memmott and the Aboriginal Environments Research Centre in various locations around the Gulf Country region during the 1970s. He died in 2002.
